Project Description

UTC (Urban Transformation Centre) is implemented under the Blue Ocean Strategy. These centres were a part of the government’s transformation aiming at providing the Urban Communities with a centralised location where government agencies are located under one roof.

As part of this transformation strategy, old abandoned/underused buildings in the existing urban fabric were given a new list of life. All three of UTC Sarawak, Kuching, Sibu and Miri were refurbished from existing multi-storey car parks. The challenge was to be able to transform the old programme of the building into the new programme.
