PROJECT DESCRIPTION :

The site was accessible by boat at that time and the challenge was to design a multi-functional self-sustaining building on a tight budget. Facing a rough and windy coast for half of the year, the form was oriented to deflect the strong wind from the front and create a sheltered enclosure to the back of the building where activities can happen, even during rough monsoon seasons.

The Eco-san sewerage system was implemented and in view of limited electrical power supply, the building is designed to be well ventilated with plenty of natural lilght.
