PROJECT DESCRIPTION :

UTC (Urban Transformation Centre) was implemented under the Blue Ocean Strategy. These centres were part of the government’s transformation aiming at providing the Urban Communities with a centralised location where government agencies are located under one roof.

As a part of this transformation strategy, old disuse / under utilised buildings within the existing urban fabric and they are given a new list of life. All three of the UTC Sarawak, Kuching, Sibu, and Miri were renovated from existing multi storey car parks. The challenge was to be able to transform the old programme of the building into the new one.
